How you're shaping our projects - feedback on the A629 Calder and Hebble Junction

17th October, 2018

From late August to mid-September we gave people in Calderdale and beyond the opportunity to tell us what they thought about our A629 Calder and Hebble Junction project. Our engagement campaign included an exhibition of our proposals at the Halifax Central Library, online materials including a survey, and a drop-in session at Clay House in West Vale.

We were really pleased to see that feedback from the event and from our survey was generally positive, with 80% of respondents feeding back that they either support or strongly support our proposals. 67% of respondents think that the proposals will achieve the project aims of improved employment opportunities, reduced congestion, improved journey times, improved walking, cycling and public transport access,  and safer journeys.

Based on your feedback we're incorporating changes into both our proposals and into our communications plan. In future you'll be hearing more about the project benefits and some of the exciting changes that we plan to make as part of this work.

Thanks to everyone who read our proposals, fed back, took part in our survey, or came to meet us!
